There’s fast and then there’s Chuck Ragan fast. A staple in the Street Bagger, Pro Bagger, and Pro Eliminator classes, Chuck has been burning rubber since bell-bottoms were still in style.
Based in Macon, Georgia, Chuck rides a sleek 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special under the banner of Chuck Ragan Racing. But his journey to the AHDRA stage started way back in 1976, when most kids were trading baseball cards, Chuck was hammering down in go-karts.
“I thought it would be fun,” he says. And nearly 50 years later, that same spirit keeps his throttle hand tight and his competitive fire lit.
Whether it’s his sharp timing on the tree or that unmistakable bagger silhouette ripping down the 1320, Chuck’s presence on the strip commands attention. No frills, no fluff, just raw passion for speed and a deep respect for the racing community.
His resume might not list a garage full of sponsors or trophies, but he holds a title that says it all: WILDMAN. It's not just a nickname, it’s a reputation. Earned. Lived. Owned.
Off the track? Chuck’s a collector, not of rare bikes or autographs, but t-shirts. The more the better. Each one carries a story, a race, a memory from the road. And when asked what he wants fans to know, his answer is short and loud: “Please support your local dragstrip.”
Spoken like a true racer who’s seen it all and knows what really matters.
